English Grant Writer / Development Associate
The Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies seeks a Resource Development Associate to join its Development Department. The position is full time, based in Jerusalem with up to two days per week remote. The ideal candidate is an organized and efficient coordinator with strong writing skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. www.schechter.edu

Responsibilities:
• Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents.
• Research and collect data for each grant by interviewing program staff
• Comply with all grant reporting requirements as required by foundation/federation donors.
• Work with finance team to gather information necessary to report to donors on current grant programs.
• Edit English new media content
• Maintain current records in the database, including grant tracking and reporting.
• Assist development staff in preparing for funder/donor visits.
• Collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Promote Schechter’s mission at all times through superior customer service to all and through the efficient use of and care for all resources.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 
• Native English Speaker
• Exceptional English writing and communication skills,
• Ability to read Hebrew emails and communication required; Fluent spoken Hebrew desired
• Proven ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals for institutional donors; excellent editing skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to analyze information and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of CRM software, desired
• Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks at one time
• Demonstrate good judgment and discretion
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to think creatively, and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Knowledge of Masorti/Conservative Judaism and the North American philanthropic world, ideal
